LOSING MY RELIGION
At the age of 82, Pat spends a lot of time reflecting on how his childhood shaped the rest of his life. On the positive side, he recalls how much he enjoyed watching his mother paint—which inspired a lifelong passion for art. On the other hand, he’ll never forget that one traumatic evening with his priest that caused him to renounce Catholicism. Only recently, in his late years, has Pat been able to regain some of his spirituality.
